For the Spring-Summer 2021 ready-to-wear show, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a new piece called Dior Palto. The model is inspired by the Diopaletot creation designed for the 1957 Autumn-Winter collection and presented in Japan by Daimaru in collaboration with Christian Dior. This straight cut, collarless piece is crafted from black wool and silk and features large patch pockets. A long drawstring wraps around the waist twice to enhance it with elegance and daring while maintaining the casual and comfortable style of the garment, an ode to freedom of movement. Maria Grazia Chiuri develops her committed approach to the origin of fashion, the type of cut and the essence of the garment.
